Abstract

For the development of production and research in organic cultivation of radish, it is necessary to know the best yield cultivars in the climatic conditions of the region. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the performance of radish cultivars in organic system in Acre. The experiment was conducted in a randomized block design, with four replications. The radish cultivars were tested: Crimson gigante; Sparkler; Comet; Medium long knead; VIP Crimson special selection; Jolly red red; Round; Red long; Saxa; Medium long; Giant siculo and the hybrids: Margaret Queen and Novella, totaling 13 treatments. The cultivar Cometa showed higher total productivity (2.33 kg m-2) and together with Comprido red, Medium long, Crimson gigante, Gigante siculo and the hybrids Novella and Margaret, presented superior results for commercial productivity, with an average of 0, 71 kg m-2. Therefore, for cultivating radish in an organic system in Acre, Cometa, Comprido Vermelho, Meio Comprido, Gigante Siculo, Giant Crimson and the hybrids Novella and Margaret Queen are recommended.
