In view of the growing statistical data related to electronic consumerism, this work carried out a bibliographic review on electronic waste worked in the teaching of Chemistry, which, in turn, Brazil is the emerging market that generates the largest volume of this waste annually, in this way, there are urgency to work meaningfully at school. It is important that institutions are using the issues inherent to the generated waste to strengthen citizen education. Therefore, qualitative bibliographic research was carried out in three places of national scope and recognized in the area of Chemistry and teaching of Chemistry: Revista Química Nova na Escola (QNSc), proceedings of the Chemistry Teaching Division of the Brazilian Congress of Chemistry (CBQ) and proceedings of the National Meeting of Chemistry Teaching (ENEQ). To analyze the number of articles that support the pedagogical practice of teachers and how the subject is being treated. As much as it is extremely important to use the topic of electronic waste in schools, other subjects are the main issues in publications in the educational sphere, thus, there is a certain deficit of materials to significantly support chemical teachers. As a result, there were few publications on the subject and, in most cases, it is used as a generator theme for electrochemistry content.
