Authors

Abstract

Introduction: The concern to train research teachers comes from years ago, which began with the intervention of some teachers from England who proposed valuing research in teacher education (Fagundes, 2016). It is noteworthy that this movement arrived in Brazil in the late 1980s, and has been proposing that the teacher during his career continue to develop research that contributes to its development in the classroom. Objective: Research under development as an activity proposed by PET seeks to encourage graduates to have the desire to continue to conduct research throughout their teaching career. Thus the research seeks to analyze how the PET group contributes to the formation of the teacher-researcher. Methodology Or Materials And Methods: The research is being conducted through a literature review of articles that address this theme. Results: With the development of the research seeks to demonstrate the importance of the graduate in geography to be a subject producer of knowledge and techniques to improve the teaching of the discipline. Since PET's principle is to maintain the triad of education (teaching, research, and extension), there is a concern to develop in the fellows a continuous search for research when acting professionally, would be in this sense stimulating the performance of the teacher-researcher.
