SPACE COUNTERCULTURES AND CAPITALIST FLEXIBILIZATION

The flexible accumulation regime (LEBORGNE; LIPIETZ, 1988) and the political form of the neoliberal state have transformed the class struggle at the beginning of the 21st century. The turn towards the financialization of the economy (HARVEY, 2011) and the attack of the global bourgeoisie on labor rights make the scenario uncertain for the working class, leading to the search, rescue and resignification of alternative life experiences based on social utopias that configure the current moment of space countercultures. In this sense, this article seeks to reflect on how economic flexibility has fostered these spatialities and how this phenomenon presents itself in history and in the contemporary context, thus contributing to the reflection of spaces of hope in the midst of the scenario of increased exploitation of work, losses of neoliberal rights and structural reforms.
